Pablo Salcedo has also explored different musical
styles and instruments.
He created the Chair of Saxophone at the National
University of Cuyo and he is now the professor of said chair.
He plays in Markama, the legendary folk music group.
He specializes in Andean winds such as moxeño, anatas, pinkullo,
ocarina, erke and quena.
Being considered one of the best quena players of
the moment, he keeps on expanding this instrument's boundaries through
the "Markama" Chromatic quena developed by Lars Nilsson.
Within the folk music scheme Pablo has shared stage
with great artists such as León Gieco, Víctor Heredia,
Lito Vitale, Claudio Gabis, etc.
Pablo performs jazz, rock and Latin-American Folk
music.
Pablo Salcedo, Flutist. He obtained his degree at
the age of 21 at the National
University of Cuyo under Lars Nilsson's chair.
He madehis debut as a soloist with a symphonic orchestra
at the age of 17 interpreting on his first three perfomances Johan
Kvandal's Concerto and André Jolivet's Concert, respectively.
